The two blends

Original Masala
The cart recipe, in a pouch. Cardamom, ginger, cassia, clove and pepper from Kerala, ground in small batches with single-origin Assam.

Rose & Cardamom
Softer and more perfumed — rose petals lifting the cardamom, with the same Assam base underneath. The one to make for people who say chai is too strong.

Why bother with ours
Most chai premixes on a Canadian shelf are sugar and powdered flavour with a bit of tea dust in it. You can taste the shortcut immediately — it's sweet, it's flat, and it doesn't smell like anything.
Ours is the recipe we've been pouring at pop-ups across Saskatoon: whole cardamom, ginger, cassia, clove and pepper from Kerala, ground in small batches, with single-origin Assam that's malty enough to stand up to milk. Nothing added to make it cheaper.
If you want to make it from scratch in the meantime, our guide to making masala chai has the full method — ratios, spices and the mistakes to avoid.
